This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application 'Packers and Movers' (the “App”) collects, uses, stores, and protects user information. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Personal Information
We may collect personal information including your name, mobile number, email address, pickup address, and delivery address. This information is required solely for providing packers and movers services.
1.2 Location Information
The App may collect precise and approximate location information using ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permissions. Location access is used only while the App is actively in use for identifying pickup and delivery locations. We do not track users in the background.
1.3 Camera Access
The App uses the CAMERA permission to allow users to capture images or videos during loading and unloading for service verification, proof of item condition, and dispute resolution. Camera access occurs only when the user actively chooses to use it.
1.4 Photos and Videos
The App allows users to upload photos or videos related to their booking. We do not access, scan, or collect the user’s entire media library. Media access occurs only when the user explicitly selects or captures media for upload within the App. Uploaded media is used solely for operational, verification, and dispute resolution purposes.
1.5 Notifications
The App uses POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission to send booking updates, payment confirmations, service reminders, and important alerts. Users may disable notifications through device settings at any time.
1.6 Internet Access
The INTERNET permission is used to enable booking management, server communication, payment processing, and secure media uploads.
1.7 Payment Information
Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. The App does not store card details, UPI information, or bank account data. Payment stages may include advance payment, partial payment, and final payment upon service completion.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use collected information to manage bookings, process payments, verify service completion, resolve disputes, communicate with users, and improve App functionality. We do not sell, rent, or misuse user data.
3. DATA SHARING
User data may be shared only with assigned packers and movers service providers, Razorpay for payment processing, and legal authorities when required by law. We do not share user data with unnecessary third parties.
4. DATA SECURITY
We implement reasonable and industry-standard security measures to protect user information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
5. MEDIA RETENTION
Uploaded images and videos may be stored for operational, verification, and dispute resolution purposes. Media may be deleted after business or legal requirements are fulfilled.
6. USER RIGHTS
Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data, subject to legal and operational limitations. Some App features may not function properly if required permissions are withdrawn.
7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
This App is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. POLICY UPDATES
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
